Another Bostonian day.....

Sometimes even in the best of times, relationships, friendships you have mornings, where everything annoys you. I felt that way this morning, I might have not had enough sleep, well I never sleep much and I drank too much coffee and had that nervous jitter that caffeine can give you when it hits you bad, I mean it is a drug. Sarah tried to get me out of it but realized it is best to let me be to come around on m own. She mentioned she she wanted to go to the Gardner museum. She had been there many years ago and it made a wonderful impression on her. So you might be wondering I had nothing to say about the Chilhuly exhibit. There are times when you have to just let the work and in this case photos do the talking. The sheer creative beauty of his technique of glass and light and the vibrant colors he brights to the glass takes your breath away and make you sigh as his genius. The Gardner museum has its own genius. She is Isabella Stewart Gardner: Gardner-Museum

As I store transfixed, my eyes wide open any difficult feelings I had washed over me as I was transported to a a courtyard villa in Renaissance Italy. The perfect proportion of the architectural elements of stone, tile, glass, flowers, fountains ponds and stairways filled me with a feeling of calm perfection. I was looking at something truly amazing, while in Boston my spirit was far away. We spent over 3 hours going from room to room with our audio guides appreciating every square inch of Isabella wonderful home/museum. We could not take photos but the link should help you along with some photos I was able to get online. Here was wealth the way no poor or average person could begrudge. She and her husband created not only a legacy but left behind what I will call without hyperbole the greatest small museum in the world. Not to be missed! I am so grateful Sarah knew about this place as I would not have wanted to miss it. See for yourself. Museum
