The first day in Boston I work up at about 8:30. I was up for a few hours in the middle of the night, then went back to sleep then woke up, realized how late is was and got dressed for a morning coffee and walk. I turn the heat on a little and left Sarah still sleeping. After picking up a local map from the hotel, began my walk to find a cafe. Out the door across the street is Old City Hall with its granite exterior in the French Second Empire style characterized by ornamented columns, the mansard roof, and the projecting central bay. The design originated in France during the Second Empire (the reign of Emperor Napoleon III from 1852 to 1870). Strolling down the street, I pick up a few newspapers including the NY paper and continue looking for my morning coffee.
I stop at a bright, even with the cloudy day bagel cafe. The cafe overlooks a tiny park area dedicated to the Irish who migrated to the USA during the potato famine. I picked up a large island coconut coffee and tie my seat by the window. It feels good to read the morning paper with coffee no matter what city. I get a call from Sarah saying she is going slow to get ready this morning. I said no problem I am relaxing reading the paper. It is then, I notice this
attractive, young woman starting at me. I assumed I was speaking too loud on the cell phone and said excuse me if I was. No she said, I just like to people watch. We began a conversation and she told me she is from Ireland, living in London and studying in Boston and working on her thesis. She introduced with a wonderful accent as Shonna. I mentioned my name is John and she smiled that is my dad's name. I thought to myself I should be grateful she didn't say grandfather. We talk and she mentioned she is an education major doing her thesis
on charted schools. I said to her you should talk to my wife, she is a professor of education and would like the topic of charted schools. we chatted briefly about Europe and America.
We said our goodbye's and good luck and I went back to the hotel to collect Sarah. We proceeded to the green line train station to visit the museum for the Chilhuly exhibit. We bought our tickets and seven stops later we entered to museum to see this.....

It was tough to take photos as no flash was allowed and too much overhead and background lighting.
